LS7000 Point Level Switch
Pictured below is a LS7000 point level switch with a stainless steel NEMA 4 alarm box. The level switch is going to be used as a high level alarm, which when activated sends a signal back to the alarm panel sounding an 80 db audible horn. The silence button allows the user to silence the horn while appropriate action is taken.
LS8000/2 Multi-Point Switch
This LS8000/2 Multi-Point switch was installed to replace an existing float switch device in a chemical manufactures intermediate tank. The floats had begun to stick, causing false alarms and unwanted shutdowns. The solid-state LS8000/2 was configured with an extra receiver card allowing for 4 set points on a single probe- all field adjustable over the entire span of the probe. In addition, an explosion proof alarm and control enclosure was fabricated per request. The panel was wired with a high and low-level audible alarm and silencer along with an auto/off/hand control function. The multi-point level switch and alarm box arrived on-site, ready to go – allowing for quick and easy commissioning.
LS8000 Remote Mounted Level Switch
The alarm box pictured was specifically designed to be used in an oil/water interface application. An LS8000 remote mounted level switch was installed in a separator and calibrated to ignore oil, yet still sense water. An "oil detected" light was installed on the box to indicate when the sensor was in the presence of oil. Once water is detected, the level switch sends a signal to open/close a valve. The remote electronics were installed inside the control panel and wired along with the control functions per the customer’s request.
